CHOCOLATIER SELECTS WHEATON GROUP TO PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE CRM SOLUTIONS
CHAPEL HILL, NC, June 1, 2004 –
Wheaton Group, a well-known provider of direct and database marketing
solutions, today announced its engagement by Godiva Chocolatier.
Wheaton Group will expand its current role to include the construction
and ongoing maintenance of a Marketing Database of business-to-consumer
and business-to-business customers and inquirers. The database will
provide an integrated view across Godiva’s retail, catalog
and e-commerce channels.
Wheaton Group has also been retained to provide a full array of
direct and database marketing solutions to leverage the Marketing
Database. Besides ongoing selections, these will include quantitative
data leveraging, the creation and packaging of marketing information,
and detailed circulation planning and execution. In addition, Wheaton
Group will provide overall project management across all of Godiva’s
CRM initiatives, including the supervision of third-party vendors
such as service bureaus and data entry firms.
Godiva’s decision was explained by Kimberly Land, Vice President

Boris Gendelev Joins Wheaton Group

Boris Gendelev has joined Wheaton Group as a Principal. Boris
has been a database marketing professional since 1983, delivering
value to clients through hands-on marketing data warehousing, software
development, decision support and analytics. He has constructed
seventeen marketing databases, and provided significant consulting
input to eleven others.
Most recently, Boris was Vice President of Database Technology
at Experian Marketing Solutions, Schaumburg, IL. Previously,
he was a database-marketing consultant and software developer with
Precision Marketing/Direct Marketing Technology, which was purchased
by Experian in 1997. Boris holds an M.B.A. from The University
of Chicago and a B.S. in Computer Science. He can be contacted
